SpinChimp v1.4.4205 Released

Friday, July 8th, 2011

A major update has been released for SpinChimp. The update has more than 40 changes including new features, enhanced usability and bug resolutions. This release specifically adds a brand new feature called Parts of Speech (POS). With POS, one button spinning is closer than ever.

The following video explains some of the new features…

The following features have been added:

  • Beginner or expert user mode can be selected on first run facilitating a faster learning curve.
  • Parts of speech recognition integrated into quick view and global spin.
  • Use of Tab within the editor for word and phrase selection.
  • New Bulk import spin and export feature added to file menu.
  • Our subscription database is now HUGE and contains many phrase replacements. We had improved our auto-learn algorithms within the previous release and this release is the first to benefit from the new algorithms. Our database has literally tripled in size. Due to a limitation in the previous release we were not able to add the new synonyms until now.
  • Our new Profile View (found within the View ribbon) allows spun and original text to be displayed copied or saved. This is a great time saver for those who want to copy the processed spin into the clipboard instead of exporting it to disk first.
  • Original view pane added showing location of text within original spin.
  • Custom or predefined CSS support within the browser view.
  • Quick spin groups automatically group together synonyms with like parts of speech and quality, allowing a single click to add multiple synonyms.
  • Text may now be protected from global spin by delimiting it with ##.
  • Global spin may be applied to selected text.
  • Add deactivate license option to help menu allowing the license to be transfered between different computers.
  • Quick save spun copy added to file menu.
  • WordPress submissions can now include scheduled offset on a per site basis allowing articles to be progressively published.
  • Document autosave feature allows documents to be automatically saved at regular intervals.
  • Microsoft Word 97-2003 doc files can now be directly loaded into SpinChimp.

The following usability enhancements have been implemented:

  • Sentence spin now automatically determines whether the sentence terminator should be inside or outside of the spin. If the sentence spin does not end with a sentence terminator, the original terminator is automatically moved outside of the spin.
  • SpinChimp now supports ultra-spinnables. This improvement was made as the result of various optimizations resulting in a much faster user experience.
  • Coloring, synonym identification and other background activities have been optimized to support large text files.
  • Tasks such as text statistics, coloring, spin %, word density and so on have been pushed to a background task removing slight hangs that may occur on slow computers.
  • Non-English languages are now supported within the editor and synonym database.
  • Advanced HTML code within the editor is now better supported. HTML may now reside over multiple lines. Entire multi-line HTML elements (such as tables) may now be spin with non-HTML.
  • Quickspin has been updated to utilize parts of speech.
  • “Jump to top” after selection with Quickspin has now been resolved.
  • Global spin now uses POS for better spinning.

  • Phrases now supported by global spin and favorite spin. Global spin can now also spin within existing spin (this may be turned off in the options pane).
  • Options moved from Options tab to a new form within the file menu. Many new options have been added making SpinChimp highly configurable.
  • Word density calculation now works on phrases.
  • Find and replace now remembers all search terms entered into either form.
  • Replace now replaces only words within the selected text. If no text is selected, replace works on the entire document.
  • Quick Spin and the context menu now both contain an option for adding blank spin to the selected word, thus making the work optional.
  • Copyscape report now contains an excerpt of the duplicate article showing matched and unmatched words. The report also contains a more accurate match percentage.

    • The following bugs have been resolved:

    SpinChimp v1.3.4082 Released

    Saturday, March 5th, 2011

A minor update has been released for SpinChimp. The update addresses the installation problems experienced by some users. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We do thoroughly test each version before it is released, however there are many different operating systems and service packs and as a result we unfortunately do not catch every bug.

We have identified a bug in the installation file that incorrectly sets the startup application object. This may result in an instant fail on startup.

We highly recommend upgrading to this version, especially if you have installed version 1.3.4081.
